If you’re on a budget, Quartieri Spagnoli is your go-to spot. It's buzzing with authentic Neapolitan vibes and vibrant street life, but be prepared for a bit of noise and a sense of adventure after dark.

For a touch of luxury, Chiaia is an upscale, family-friendly area with beautiful seafront views and plenty of attractions, but it comes with a higher price tag. Couples looking for romance will love Posillipo, a serene neighborhood with stunning sea views and elegant villas. 

Culture buffs should not miss Spaccanapoli in the historic center, where you’ll find museums, churches, and a lively street scene, though it can get quite crowded and noisy. For nightlife, Piazza del Plebiscito is the place to be, offering a lively social scene and numerous dining options, but brace yourself for the crowds.

Santa Lucia offers a luxurious stay with stunning sea views and proximity to historic landmarks, but it can be pricey and a bit removed from the "authentic" Naples vibe. Lastly, Vomero is perfect for panoramic city views, a cooler climate, and excellent shopping, though it’s a bit farther from the historic center and on the expensive side.

Centro Storico is also where you will find the renowned Cappella Sansevero, home to the remarkable Veiled Christ sculpture. Art enthusiasts should also pay a visit to the Pio Monte della Misericordia to see Caravaggio's masterpiece "The Seven Works of Mercy". 

The area also includes the San Gregorio Armeno, famous for its nativity scene craftsmanship, and the National Archaeological Museum. You could spend hours getting lost in its ancient artefacts.

You can also ride the nearby Montesanto Funicular for panoramic views of the city and the Bay of Naples. 

Quartieri Spagnoli is quintessentially Neapolitan. Laundry flutters between balconies, scooters zip through narrow lanes, and the aroma of pizza wafts from tiny bakeries. Some must-visit spots include the expansive Villa Comunale park, perfect for picnics and playtime, and the nearby Castel dell'Ovo, a seaside castle with breathtaking views. Kids will also love the Anton Dohrn Aquarium, and the picturesque Mergellina harbor is great for boat trips or watching the fishermen at work.

When it comes to dining, Chiaia has plenty of options for everyone. Try Pizzeria Mattozzi for some authentic Neapolitan pizza in a casual setting, or head to Ciro a Mergellina for delicious seafood with a view of the bay. The neighbourhood is also home to numerous historic churches, museums, and palaces. The vibe here is quintessentially Neapolitan—vibrant, chaotic, and brimming with life.
