Why visit: Caribbean sun, snorkeling and adventure
Average temperature: 24°C-29°C (84°F) (75°F 84°F)
Average daily budget: $150-$250

World-class beaches, tropical rainforests, epic underwater wildlife, and the world’s only drive-in volcano. St Lucia is certain to leave you with lifelong memories, and delivers everything you could wish for when it comes to winter sun bliss.

While the island’s beaches, crystalline waters and boutique resorts make it a hot honeymoon destination, this lush island is also ripe for outdoor adventures.

How about hiking the twin peaks of its iconic volcanic Piton mountains, or ziplining through pristine rainforest landscapes?

If you’re into nature, go on a guided trek through Mount Edmund Forest Reserve — a beautiful place to spot endemic birds like the St Lucia Parrot and St Lucia Oriole.

Back on the coast, Anse Chastanet Marine Park is one of the best easy-access reefs in the Caribbean. Home to 150 species of marine life — with coral gardens and fringing reefs close to the shoreline — this is especially satisfying for beginner snorkelers.
