As summer solstice approaches, Paris is at its most enchanting, with June bringing with it the golden light of the season. Long days, fest-filled nights, outdoor concerts, and more. Here is our guide to the weather in Paris in June.

Is June a good time to visit Paris?

June is a great time to visit Paris. It’s the start of summer, so the city feels lively and full of energy. The weather is usually warm and pleasant, with mostly sunny days and the occasional rain shower, making it a perfect time to explore the city.

The weather in Paris in June is warm but without the intense heat of late summer. During the day, the temperatures are just right for sightseeing, and the evenings are cool enough for dining outside or taking a romantic walk along the Seine. June is also a good time to visit the parks, iconic landmarks, and experience Parisian café culture without the heavy tourist crowds that come later in the summer.

Sunshine, average temperatures, and rainfall in June

In June, Paris enjoys warm and comfortable weather, with daytime temperatures averaging around 74°F (23°C) and nighttime lows around 59°F (15°C). It’s warmer than spring but not as hot as July or August, making it perfect for exploring outdoors.

June also brings long days, with nearly 16 hours of daylight thanks to the summer solstice, giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy late-evening plans. While there are about 2.2 inches (56 mm) of rain over roughly 10 days, the showers are usually brief and shouldn’t interfere much with your itinerary.

What about the crowds & costs?

In June, Paris starts to get busier with tourists, but it’s still less crowded than the peak months of July and August. It’s a great time to visit if you want a lively vibe without dealing with overwhelming crowds. Popular attractions might have shorter lines than in the height of summer, but it’s still a good idea to book tickets ahead of time. As for costs, June is part of Paris’s high season, so hotel prices and flights will be higher than in the off-season
