What to wear in India in October?

The choice of suitable clothing for an October visit to India depends on the region chosen. Throughout the country, a choice of light and breathable fabrics such as cotton and linen will make the most sense. Light outerwear for cooler evenings should be taken along to overcome possible temperature variations.

When planning a visit to religious or conservative places, care should also be taken to choose appropriate clothing. Women should choose clothing that covers shoulders, necklines and knees, while men should opt for long shorts or pants.

Although October usually sees less rainfall, it's also not unreasonable to carry a mackintosh and umbrella.

In addition to clothing, you should also not forget about footwear. Choose comfortable and breathable shoes that will ensure you feel at ease during your walks and excursions.
