The Northern Thailand itinerary will allow you to experience a mix of cultural, natural and vibrant urban attractions. Here are just a few must-see places and activities:
Chiang Mai fascinates with its rich cultural heritage, ancient temples such as Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, and lively markets such as the Night Bazaar. The picturesque Old Town, complemented by stunning panoramic views of Doi Suthep, creates a unique blend of history and natural beauty.
Take part in traditional Thai cooking classes, attend local festivals and enjoy warm hospitality - all of which make Chiang Mai an essential and charming stop on your Northern Thailand journey.
Doi Inthanon National Park, the jewel of Northern Thailand, beckons with its awe-inspiring natural wonders. It is home to Thailand's highest peak, Doi Inthanon, as well as lush landscapes, waterfalls, and diverse flora and fauna.
Here you can explore ancient temples such as Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Bhumisiri, set amidst green landscapes. The park is a serene vacation destination, offering the perfect blend of cultural and natural beauty to enrich the experience of Northern Thailand.
For a brief but brilliant period (1238–1376), the walled city of Sukhothai presided
as the capital of Thailand, creating the legacy of a unified nation of Thai peoples and a phenomenal artistic heritage.
Some of Thailand’s finest buildings and sculpture were produced here, but by the sixteenth century the city had been all but abandoned to the jungle. Now an impressive assembly of elegant ruins, the Old City, northwest of Phitsanulok, has been preserved as Sukhothai Historical Park and is one of Thailand’s most visited ancient sites.

A high road pass and a train tunnel breach the narrow, steep belt of mountains between
Chiang Mai and Lampang, the north’s second-largest town. Nearly all travelers sail through it on their way to the more trumpeted sights further north.
But unlike most other provincial capitals, Lampang has the look of a place where history has not been completely wiped out: houses, shops and temples survive in the traditional style, and the town makes few concessions to tourism.
Out of town, the beautiful complex of Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is the main attraction in these parts, but while you’re in the neighborhood you could also stop by to watch a show at the Elephant Conservation Centre, on the road from Chiang Mai.
Chiang Rai attracts with its unique blend of artistic brilliance and cultural richness in northern Thailand. The ethereal White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and the artistic Blue Temple showcase the city's creative spirit.
Immerse yourself in the mystical atmosphere of the Black House (Baan Dam) and explore the historical significance of the Golden Triangle. Chiang Rai's special appeal, characterized by breathtaking temples and historical sites, makes it an indispensable and enriching destination on your Northern Thailand trip.
Mae Hong Son attracts with its peaceful beauty and cultural heritage. Temples such as Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu offer panoramic views. Explore the unique villages of the Karen tribe of the Long Nek Hills and take a cruise on the picturesque Pang Ung Lake.
With its laid-back charm, Mae Hong Son is the place to relax away from prying eyes, combining natural splendor with cultural authenticity for an unforgettable Northern Thailand experience.
